How much do we charge?
We charge on a low monthly percentage of collections rate. We do have flat rates available depending on your practice needs. Our earnings are dependent on your collections, so we will do everything possible to be sure that your fees are reimbursed.
How is the information sent to Account Advantage?
We offer free pick-up for our local area. We also accept faxing, postal delivery, e-mail or electronic files.
How frequent are accounts billed? What about past-due accounts?
We bill your patients for you on a weekly basis for any balance due after your have received payment from their insurance carrier. Patients will receive gentle past-due notices for 30, 60 and 90 days past due. If you would like courteous reminder calls to your patients regarding past due accounts, we offer that option. If not, we will recommend alternatives to you; however, the choice will be yours to make.
How soon can we start?
Today! Once we receive your practice information from your office, the data can be setup in our system quickly. However, your electronic account must be set up with a clearinghouse and this can take several weeks to initialize.
Where are payments sent?
All insurance and patient payments are sent directly to your office. Your office will need to supply us with the Explanations of Benefits from the insurers and a copy of patient checks so that we can post payments to the patient accounts. You will have control of all of the money received and the actual deposits to your account. We will be keeping the patient accounting record current for you.
How quickly is information processed?
All information supplied by you will be posted to patient accounts within 48 hours of receipt. This means that all insurance claims are submitted within 48 hours of receipt of charges and payments are kept current. You will receive monthly reports in several different formats so that you can review the status of each patient account individually or see your overall accounts receivable as a group.
What software do you use? How can I be sure that we are HIPAA compliant and that my patient accounts are safe?
We use Medical Mastermind state-of-the-art software and are constantly updated so that we remain current with HIPAA compliance regulations. We are constantly updated with the most recent insurance and government regulations and changes. Our computers are backed up to hard drive every evening and are on battery backup in the event of power failure. We have security programs constantly running and updating on our network to ensure privacy and to prevent viruses from entering the system. We have taken every possible precaution to protect the systems and the patient information you provide to us.
